4.25/5 HELL TO THE YEAH! This was another winner by Lynda Chance. It was lovely, sexy, and oh so hot! The sexual tension between Robert and Renee was off the chart. The author really knows what the readers want. I’m very happy I picked up this one. This is a wonderful addition to the series. If you love brooding alpha heroes, then this novella is for you!

Sad to see the end of this series. This one was the weakest of the lot, in my opinion. But still a good enough read. BRIEF SUMMARY This is the third installment of the author’s series called Louisiana Liaisons; it’s about three divorced friends who decided to meet for a night together but all got detoured. Book1: Seduced by the American Millionaire , book2: Blackmailed Into Bed and book3: Bedded by the Boss. In Bedded by the Boss, Robert newly employs Renee. She leaves her job of 10 years to work for Robert because the pay is better to help with her daughter’s college fund. Robert owns a construction company and is very attracted to Renee. He finds that he is unable to work with her and needs to find away to selfishly make her leave his employ. The book contains explicit sex and language. THOUGHTS If you enjoyed Blackmailed into Bed, then you will really like Bedded by the Boss, it does not disappoint. I felt like I was reading a Harlequin Presents book gone wild in a good way. This read was definitely more aggressive with Robert’s strong Alpha male character, and I still loved it. Robert was very sexy, demanding, and possessive; throughout the book Robert makes jealously looks so sexy. Renee surely held her own throughout the book even though Robert made her nervous at times. It was also nice to hear Renee talk and reconnect with Jenny. This read was definitely a tension builder leading up to Robert and Renee’s intimacy. I also enjoyed their tennis match conversation on quitting and firing especially in one particular scene of the book. I personally enjoyed all 3 books and I am glad I read them. I also think James Cameron; the charmer should get his own story, which would definitely be another good read. James was a client of Robert that was also interested in Renee and drove Robert mad with jealously. I really have no dislikes of the book, I only wish that both Renee and Robert said I love you to each other a little earlier on in the read, but that’s fine I can live with that. Storyline: GOOD Intimacy: GOOD Enjoyment: GOOD ***************** Who is Romance Novel Junkies? http://www.romancenoveljunkies.com

I'VE COMPLETED THIS SERIES, I LOVED EACH ONE. I ENJOYED EACH ONE EVEN THOUGH ALL THREE WERE VERY, VERY SIMULAR, FUNNY THIS DIDN'T BOTHER ME AT ALL. YES, I KNEW THEY WERE BASICALLY THE SAME BOOK ALMOST, I STILL ENJOYED THEM. I DON'T SEE HOW MANY OF THESE AUTHORS HAVE BOOK AFTER BOOK WHICH ARE LIKE READING THE SAME BOOK OVER AND OVER AGAIN. WE ALL KEEP ON READING THEM AND CAN'T WAIT FOR THE NEXT ONE. I WOULD PREFER THE BOOKS I READ BE A STAND ALONE EVEN IF IT IS A SERIES, I HATE CLIFF HANGERS. Awful story! I hated the characters and the plot didn't make sense at all. Couldn't stand the characters, seriously, uuugh!, just wanted to kill them both!! Quite short; and a bit too short to give much substance to the characters. The hero is extremely alpha but has no other personal characteristic than being domineering, conceited and obnoxious all the time when the heroine is concerned. The heroine did not have much more personality. When they finally end up in bed (and wherever else), the hot scenes are OK, though I've read steamier ones. The ending is a bit abrupt, but to be completely honest, that was fine with me, as I did not care so much for Quite short; and a bit too short to give much substance to the characters. Robert he's kind of an a**, "bulls***. I saw you. I don't need your help getting the business. You just do your work and keep those sweet little smiles to yourself." He's also a jealous sort, "who the eff did you shave for?" His body lowered to hers and he took, a handful of her soft blonde hair. "If you have any sense you'll tell me it was for me." I love Lynda's books there's always male characters that you love to hate.

The 2nd Lynda Chance book that I've read, and I kinda liked it. At least it had the story in it, even not too strong. I'm not a fan of the hero and the heroine, but they're cool enough. I prefer Renee from this book than Amy in Blackmailed into Bed as a heroine.

I loved this story.  He wants her desperately.  He has been obsessed with her since he has first saw her. But  He thinks in order to bed her is that he has to get rid of her. She is in constant denial.  What follows?  Very erotic forms of persuasion.

Two out of five stars, that's a good start, right? Maybe in twenty years this author will get five stars from me, but for now, even two stars are too many. She just doesn't deserve them. What did I just read? It was a novella, okay, I understand the lack of drama and action and the usual trivialities. But no character development? No plot? No connection between the characters? No language that isn't fuck, pussy or cock ? No. Nothing at all? Yes, nothing at all. I felt nothing at all while read Two out of five stars, that's a good start, right? Maybe in twenty years this author will get five stars from me, but for now, even two stars are too many. She just doesn't deserve them. What did I just read? It was a novella, okay, I understand the lack of drama and action and the usual trivialities. But no character development? No plot? No connection between the characters? No language that isn't fuck, pussy or cock ? No. Nothing at all? Yes, nothing at all. I felt nothing at all while reading this book- if one can even call it that. This was just words filling up blank pages, wasted ink on precious paper. Do you guys know how many trees are cut every day to make paper? Well, I don't know either but I will sure check out later, you should do the same too. I'm not going to say I hated that story because there are some parts that made me laugh. So, let me introduce you to the funny parts and the exasperating parts during which I wanted to throw my iPod away, get inside the book and beat either the girl or the guy up (I think it's mostly the guy though). (view spoiler)[ The Funny Parts Renee's heartbeat shifted into overdrive as the core of her rained heat. Well, that wasn't really funny, the choice of words the core of her rained heat made me laugh. Why? I do not know. "Fine. But I don't understand why. Why the hell can't you leave me alone and find another woman?" "You don't understand? Bullshit. You understand, all right. You want to hear me say it. Fine. I'll say it." He reached over and took her chin in his hand. "It has to be you. I'm not going to have one moment of goddamn peace until I sink into you." That was funny to me because the way I pictured the scene in my head was hilarious given the dilemna in hand (which you can't really understand since I did not write all that would be needed to understand the dialogue). The Exasperating Parts "Renee, come here, baby." He patted the shiny surface of his desk. That was one of my major problems with this book. The way of speaking of the characters, they were like stupid highschoolers or college students. Drove me insane! The hunt. The retreat. And finally the capture. Now he was going in for the kill. What the heck is she? Some fresh piece of meat? It disgusts me when men only think of us women as that: meat, fresh piece of meat. The buttholes. Yes, I am a feminist, a feminist and a sexist. And I hate guys who aren't fictional or celebrities. He looked up from the slick, hair-free mound between her thighs. A dark jealousy consumed him. A territorial feeling that he couldn't control. "Who the fuck did you shave for?" His body lowered to hers and he took a handful of her soft blonde hair. "If you have any sense, you'll tell me it was for me." His words were harsh, guttural. She panted, her eyes wide on him. His body was large, intimidating, even with his clothes on. She took his advice since it was the truth. "Y-you. For you." Okay, first thing, a dark jealousy? You've been going out with the woman for less than two weeks and you're being jealous? Even though I hate possessiveness, the term would've been more appropriate than jealousy. Second, he does not own the woman, she does whatever pleases her. I hate when guys get all possessive. They're all control freaks (that's what Anastasia Steele said to Christian Grey). And she... she... ugh! She was acting so desperate, like "shit! I need to fuck the dude if I don't want to die! He's to me what human blood is to vampires." Bitch what? Could you rewind please? There are thousands of men outside, waiting to get laid and who'd like to get laid with you. So pluh-ease when you say you need Robert specifically. Bulldog! Was the need to satiate her hunger so urgent? Did it have to be with Robert? Again, thousands of men are waiting outside. His eyes narrowed into slits. "This doesn't have a goddamn thing to do with me being your boss and you know it. This is about you and me and last night. You remember last night, baby?" His voice was like gravel, his jealousy on the surface. "You remember me pushing in and you creaming my cock? Goddamn, I remember. It's you and me and nobody else. Nobody fucking else. You want proof? You want me to come over here and prove it to you? Dare me. Come on. Right now. Dare me to prove it." He waited for her little hand to come up in the air to stop him. Renee held her breath and stared at the incensed madman standing so close to her. All at once a buzzing went through her blood and reached her brain. What would he do? The words came softly. "I dare you." So, let's get one thing straight: I hate it when guys get verbally aggressive, this wasn't really aggressive but it felt close to it for me. Creaming my cock? If I try to picture that it is so sordid, so vulgar. In this scene of the book, Robert was mad at Renee and blah blah. I actually thought he would pounce on her. And Renee... ugh...! I actually read the part where she said "I dare you" before reading her motives. I was already clapping hands, saying: "Yes Renee, show him who's boss." That was until I went back and read why she did it: a buzzing went through her blood and reached her brain. Just because she freaking needed to 'cream his cock'. So disappointing. So disappointed. (hide spoiler)] So that was all my poor fingers could write but not all I wanted to write. There are so many parts I disliked but those were the only ones I highlighted. As I said before, this thing (I can't bring myself to call it a book or even a story, that would be an insult to other authors' works) was lifeless. The characters were boring. They were either trying to fight the sexual attraction, fight the sexual tension, talking about sexing each other or actually having sex. I almost lost my eyes, I forgot to count how many times I rolled them. I see everyone dissing Fifty Shades because it was filled with sex, oh well, Fifty Shades is much better compared to this. It's not really fair to compare a series to a novella series but this isn't the point. The point it: just because you're writing something categorized as Erotica doesn't mean it has to be utter crap and only filled with crap revolving around sex. I could've accepted all the sex if there had been some character development, some storyline, some connection, something, anything to make up for all the sex I was reading. But there was nothing: page after page, I only found words after words with no depth whatsoever. So I think I'm done here. My hands are tired at 2AM but I had to write this. My review for Seduced by the American Millionaire is coming soon, not now. Too tired. Why can I never find something good to read? I always end up reading crappy books. So, my dear Lynda Chance, your series 'Louisiana Liaisons' will be the only thing I will ever read from you. Unless you become J.K. Rowling in 20 years. Only then I might -I might, not will- give you another chance. For now, my eyes have had enough. Don't read the series!

What she didn't expect was the boss from hell!. Robert took one look at Renee and it was like a shot to his entire system setting him on fire and he knew that he wasn't going to be the same until she was his! Hired by his long time (soon to be retiring assistant) Robert is attracted to Renee so he comes to the conclusion that she must quit, then he must bed her. In that order. Renee is attracted to her sexy new boss, but is under the impression that he is a married man, so puts aside her feelings and works through the abrasive environment. Robert and Renee must work through their feelings for each other in order to move forward. There is explicit sex and language. Despite its shortness, I loved it. Robert has a very alpha-male personality that can come off as being an a**hole, but he does care and is used to getting what he wants. Renee was sweet, but I did feel that she could have had more confidence in herself due to all she has accomplished while being a single mother. It was fun to watch their sizzling attraction become more. <3

This book took a lot longer, the battle was more drawn out but make no mistake, Robert was as "blatantly male" as the other men in this series. Renee had many reasons to be afraid and hesitant about this affair. She certainly never asked for it or provoked it, but his control slipped slowly and violently over the course of 53 days to the point where any separation between them, any obstacle, needed to be removed immediately otherwise his primal need for possession caused anxiety and irritability that manifests as aggressiveness towards her. I would have loved an accidental pregnancy in this book. It sounds ridiculous for me to say this, but the way they fit together and the way he unconsciously sought to tie her to him would have come full circle.

    * Alpha Male * Boot between the door and its frame * Wants to go slow but can't control the urges * Hand/fingers twirled on the hair * Hands above the head * Silk bra * Raging desired and blood flowing south upon sighting or thinking about the h * Hot scenes * H carrying h to the bedroom * Rich guy * Strong independent woman * Smart children * Bad ex-spouses These are some of those that are in this series' plots. I'd like to have a little chapter though on having the three pairs getting together.

I'm dissapointed. This book was too short and i didn't feel it. I read Fifty shades trilogy and Bared to your and a bunch of other books with dominating possesive alpha males and that's how i like the men in book but in this one i kept picturing Robert as an older man, he wasn't the alpha male i like in books. Usually when i read a book I can't put it down at night so I end up staying up reading until 4 am but this book I could easily down at night. I didn't think about it at all afterwards...

Robert is angsty, bitter, an a*shole, with not an ounce of compassion or kindness. I lie, he seemed to like his head secretary. Renee, a weenie. Apparently she has no self esteem. Lynda Chance wrote this well, though reading a second Louisiana book of hers I notice the same premise, different named characters. I'm hoping something us drastically different or I will be annoyed I bought 3 of her books and they were all the same.

I don't know about Renee but if a guy was acting like an asshole to me the way Robert was with her at the beginning of the book, I would be attracted to him the same way I am with dirty dishes. He was attracted to her, he wanted her, he didn't want more than just fucking, yes, but that's not reason enough to make a woman's life miserable. Didn't somebody teach him that the fastest way to get in a girl's pants is not spouting shit?

Really 1 1/2 stars. Christ this hero was way over the top domineering. Seriously, if this happened in real life, he would find his ass in jail and a huge sexual harassment charge. But it is just fiction so you can get away with almost anything. The heroine was annoying too with all her stammering. Please!! I must say this author does like her hero's to be mega, ultra alpha.

I liked the tension between Renee and Robert and I enjoyed the dance they had around each other , I'm beginning to know what to expect from Lynda's books and this one like the rest had an unbearable neanderthal hero that could use a few smacks to the head yet he has an alluring charm that makes you even angrier because you like him for it. Overall it's a fun read.

It's a short and hot read. I started reading it while waiting for my appointment with the dentist. by the time is was my turn I was so hot. Robert is an asshole for some reason, but it was because he wanted his sexy Secretary. I wish it could've been longer. I wanted to know her demons, his past... her daughter taking a liking on her mum's boyfriend. but this is good, too.

Pushy alpha make boss has the hots for his secretary. His plan? Make her quit so he can bed her. Lots of steam in this, lots of UST, and a very quick ending (as it's a a short read). This was entertaining.

This series was different… like I mentioned on the first review the characters are older. Renee was a bit of a contradiction because she kept changing her mind and at times even started acting too immature. Still I liked it
